How to keep warm this winter

With it currently -16 degrees I thought it would be beneficial to share  some tips on how to keep warm this winter.

  • We belong to BC Hydro Power Smart program.
  • Our goal for 2010 was to reduce our hydro usage by 5%, we achieved a reduction of 11%
  • Goal for 2011 to reduce by another 5%..actual reduction was 9%..using our heat wraps and turning the thermostat down on cold evenings to keep us warm helped us reduce our consumption and cost.

So simply by putting your heat pack in the microwave for 3 minutes it is going to keep you warm for about an hour,once it starts to lose heat then pop it back in the microwave for a few more minutes.

Do the maths,3 minutes for 60, this is how we can turn the thermostat down and save money and keep snugly warm.

Any of our heat packs or even our Warm up animals will keep you warm this winter

Hope you keep warm this winter as it is going to be very cold.

Pets need to keep warm

While our heat packs and heat wraps are made predominately for humans,animals love them too.

We have supplied our heat packs to breeders and vets who use them to keep the newborns warm and help them recover from sickness.

Also our warm up animals are used to keep pets from getting anxiety attacks from being left alone at home.

Warm up animals are used by Zoos as surrogates for new borns who are rejected at birth and for pets who are going in for surgery, the heat from the warm up animals bring comfort and ease anxiety.

 

Our warming blankets have a removable cover for ease of washing and the animals can be machine washed.
